5 week Post Partum Update/ Pink Blush

Our sweet rainbow baby is finally here and we couldn’t be more in love with him. Dawson Micaiah is 5 weeks new already and though only 7 lbs 1 oz at birth he’s already weighing in at almost 10 lbs! Even more sweetness to love!
As parents to four now and a few years older than when we last had a newborn, Collin and I have definitely been finding ourselves a lot more exhausted and 100% couch ready by the end of the day. Dawson is generally a happy baby but doesn’t sleep for longer than 3 hours at a time with an hour or two of awake/fussy time most nights (obviously normal for a newborn) so I’m pretty lacking in the sleep department!

I think a huge must for every mama in these early weeks of changing diapers and nursing (if you’re nursing!) is functional and comfortable clothing right? Unless I’m going out, I live in my Lulu’s and other leggings and always have a tank top on under my t-shirt or sweater. I do use nursing bras and ended up purchasing two from the Gilligan & O’Malley line at Target which I’ve been really happy with.
Another must for mama’s, that I think is often a bigger challenge, is finding clothes that are functional, comfortable AND stylish (or at least don’t look like you’re trying to dress your way to the gym!). I continue to be impressed with the clothing from Pink Blush and as a tall girl, their tops have the long length that I often have a hard time finding elsewhere. Their style options are endless and I love a clothing line with lots of variety.

Many maternity items are not versatile but this long sleeve bamboo maternity top like many of their other clothing items is both baby belly and post partum friendly! I love how soft the fabric is as well as how loosely it hangs making it very nursing friendly as well. I’m always looking for longer tops to wear with leggings so I won’t be surprised if I end up getting another one in a different colour!

If you love the feeling of a 95% viscose from bamboo/ 5% spandex blend (like I do!) than I have to recommend this amazingly light but super cozy robe as well! It comes in a whole bunch of beautiful colours and is the perfect length. This is basically the robe I’ve been trying to find for a long time! As a mama who appreciates genuine recommendations I promise to always share only what I am really loving!
Happy Shopping!
